Weitzman isthe most respected provider of retail real estate services in Texas. Our team provides a full range of services including general brokerage, property management, asset management and development services. We operate exclusively in Texas’ major markets: Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, Houston and San Antonio. Weitzman is seeking a GIS Analyst to join our team in Uptown Dallas. This position is part of the Research team that reports to the VP | Research. The GIS Analyst collaborates with other teams across the company to provide the most impactful data to our internal and external clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct in-person meetings with sales professionals and business development team to define project requirements and discuss various approaches to attain end results. Produce a variety of high quality geographic and demographic materials in support of commercial real estate transactions and account maintenance by utilizing programming, database, and graphics skills. Track competitors’ trends to elevate and differentiate Weitzman’s mapping and aerial assets. Adhere to company policies through assistance in quality control processes. Educate internal and external clients about GIS capabilities and resources. Seek end-user/customer input regarding enhancements to geographic services and processes. Extract demographic information from various databases for use in maps or reports. Daily application and build-out of mapping assets. Maintain library of previously designed material for future use. Assist with analysis, research, design, and implementation of all mapping tools, templates, standards, and software as well as create a knowledge base of standard templates and techniques. Obtain and maintain accurate market data (e.g., existing and proposed locations of shopping centers, office buildings, malls, retailers). Proactively search for new and different data sources to integrate into real estate applicable mapping uses. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree with a major or minor in Geography or related field. Minimum 3 – 5 years in a sustained CRE/Retail Real Estate Research GIS role. Commercial real estate experience required (retail/office is a plus). Advanced proficiency in ESRI, ArcGIS, and Business Analyst Online. Knowledge and understanding of Human Movement data and analytics. Photoshop/graphic design exposure is a plus. Working knowledge of current GIS technological software trends. Experience with customer data software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; including the ability to effectively present information. Strong organizational, analytical, and quantitative skills. Must be deadline-oriented and highly responsive. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.
