Job Summary
This position is responsible for the development of contractual policy and procedure for Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) implementation/execution and identifies opportunities for continuous improvements to the Agency's Professional/Technical (P/T) contract policies and business processes. This position is responsible to provide oversight and approval for the development of contractual agreements within the DPS divisions as directed or assigned, interacts with all levels of agency personnel, provides analysis and policy direction on contract management issues, and develops and presents reports and analysis to agency leadership and other state officials when needed or requested. This position is responsible for ensuring statewide procurement policies and standards are met in the development of P/T contracts.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Three* (3) years of professional experience in the following areas:
*A Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field may substitute for 12 months of experience.

Physical Requirements
Light: Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file boxes and heavy hand tools or heavier materials with help from others and moving and transporting light objects frequently. Even though the weights being moved and transported may be a negligible amount, a job in this category may require positioning self to move to a significant degree or may involve maintaining a stationary position for extended periods.
