Description
Summary: This position is a seasonal, stipend position coaching middle and upper school players. The Assistant coach will report to the Head of Athletics and the Head Coach, collaborating with all program coaches, student-athletes, faculty/staff, and parents. The position manages all aspects of a competitive volleyball program.
Primary Responsibilities: - Alongside Head Coach, assist with coaching the team and implement the daily practice schedule in consideration of student-athletes with varying abilities.
- Help foster a competitive, fun, and positive environment for all student athletes.
- Assist with managing the Duchesne-hosted contests and events, as well as travel to off-campus games/tournaments.
- Handle administrative tasks including continuous communication with the athletic department, preparing and updating team rosters, overseeing individual and team stats, and reviewing game film.
- Collect uniforms and equipment when the season ends.
- Help coordinate end of season award ceremony.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head of Athletics or Head Coach.
Requirements
Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required - Proven experience in coaching Volleyball
- Ability to work after school and during weekends.

- Ability to inspire and motivate.
- Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting.
Upon Hiring - Successful completion of criminal offender record information and sexual offender registry information checks.
- Successful completion of CMG Safe Environment Training.
- Current CPR certification.
